Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Powertrain Production Planning Analyst in Michigan to establish production plans for assigned Powertrain Plant. You will generate and balance weekly/monthly plans, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize capacity and inventory to meet production targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and 3+ years in manufacturing with capacity planning, strong communication, and SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or foreign equivalency.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing with capacity planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and value stream mapping understanding.
• Experience with SAP is required.
• Extraordinary teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent relationship-building/negotiating skills.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate weekly/monthly manufacturing plans for engine and transmission plants balancing facility and supply base capacities.
• Lead SPCPS process support for plant capacities to support vehicle production programs.
• Implement incremental and mix shift opportunities through demand vs. capacity assessments and what-if scenarios.
• Collaborate with Premium Logistics Management, Ford Purchasing, Powertrain Plant MP&L, and Supply Base personnel to manage constraints.
• Address smoothing opportunities, down weeks/days, and stockpiling to support customer demand.
• Communicate plan feasibility to cross-functional teams and develop action plans.
