Job summary

Hyundai Motor Company is seeking a Parts Development Buyer Manager for Powertrain Engine & Transmission to lead supplier selection, capability assessment, and multi-year production planning. The role requires close collaboration with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure on-time launches and cost competitiveness.

The position offers growth within Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, with exposure to advanced powertrain programs and a dynamic, cross-cultural team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of automotive procurement experience or related field.
• Experience with APQP/PPAP, supplier development, and launch programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand program sourcing and key milestones in support of launches.
• Identify suppliers, assess capabilities, price, and select with Engineering teams.
• Prepare RFI/RFP/RFQ processes for multi-year full production volumes.
• Lead cost reduction activities and negotiate long-term agreements.
• Manage cradle-to-grave supplier development through Parts Development processes.
