Job summary

ProSight Talent is partnering with a leading automotive manufacturer in Savannah, GA to recruit a Purchasing & Parts Development Manager – Powertrain. Lead sourcing and supplier development for engine and transmission parts, guiding from development through launch and mass production.

You will manage a team of buyers and collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production to meet quality, cost and delivery targets, steering APQP/PPAP activities across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and spoken English for communication, documentation, and collaboration.
• Fluency in English and Korean or Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and program milestones for powertrain commodities.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs for multi-year production programs and manage negotiations.
• Negotiate pricing, tooling costs, and long-term agreements; drive cost reduction.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, processes, capacity, and cost drivers with should-cost analysis.
• Manage supplier development from sourcing through production meeting specs and timing.
• Drive APQP and ISIR/PPAP activities to resolve quality, cost, and delivery issues.
• Establish corrective actions and prevent supply disruptions.
• Build supplier relationships and maintain supply base information.
• Hire, coach, train, and develop buyers including Assistant Managers and Specialists.
