Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Product Engineer Aftertreatment Hardware Testing & Validation in Allen Park, MI. This contract hybrid role focuses on planning and executing powertrain and dynamometer tests to validate low-emission technologies and calibrations.

You will analyze test data, prepare technical presentations, and coordinate testing with internal facilities and external vendors. Strong engineering fundamentals and 3 years of emissions experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Approximately 3 years of emissions experience and emissions testing.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and support vehicle powertrain and engine dynamometer testing to validate low-emission technologies.
• Identify calibration concerns during testing and report findings for resolution.
• Post-process test data using ATI Rec files or vendor tools and analyze key statistics.
• Conduct data analysis to provide data-driven calibration recommendations.
• Summarize findings in clear presentations using boxplots and modal plots.
• Maintain records of test vehicle status, configurations, and modifications.
• Participate in test planning and submit weekly Test Requests (TRs).
• Develop and validate full-cycle emissions calibrations for SULEV30, ACCII, Tier 4.
• Create technical documentation communicating testing results and next steps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and plan projects.
