Amentum in Dearborn, MI seeks a Test Engineer for the Dearborn Engine Laboratory to manage engine test projects, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery of quality, on-schedule testing for powertrain calibration and development.

The role emphasizes hands-on test setup, data analysis, and the design of test procedures to support emissions and fuel economy goals. Training begins on day shift with an afternoon schedule thereafter.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in powertrain calibration/development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams in the design, deployment and start-up for engine test facilities.
• Delivery of quality, timing and financial objectives of a project.
• Process driven approach for complex installations with detailed design work.
• Single point of contact for test room operation and troubleshooting support for site maintenance.
• Support powertrain development through data analysis and test validation.
• Develop test procedures, facilities and equipment to meet emissions and fuel economy requirements.
