Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Product Development Engineer for Power Supply System Calibration. You will develop electrical charging system calibration in the powertrain control module for gas engines, EVs and Hybrids on the low voltage side, including alternator control torque manager, engine idle stability during electrical transients, and diagnostics.

You will release calibrations into Ford system software and support development trips for engine calibration, with a hybrid

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related Engineering field
3+ years of experience in Product Development preferably in Calibration
Experience performing electrical control system calibration in the automotive industry using ATI Vision and INCA
Experience gathering vehicle CAN and LIN network data using Vector CANalyzer and Intrepid tools
Knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD AUTOSAR and Cyber securities
Familiar with CANalyzer and CANoe tool for testing, and CAPL script for field debugging
Familiar with Matlab modeling, code generation, debugging and model testing

Responsibilities

Development of calibration for alternator control torque manager, engine idle stability for electrical transients, alternator voltage set point controls, and alternator diagnostics
Release the calibration into Ford system software
Support powertrain development trips for engine calibration
