Job summary

Ford Racing in Allen Park, MI is seeking an engineer to develop and calibrate powertrain controls for world-class race vehicles. This hybrid role requires four days onsite per week in Allen Park.

You will work on gasoline engine calibration, ECU mapping with Ford, Bosch, MoTeC, and other partners, and build HiL/SiL/DiL test environments to support global motorsport programs. Experience in MATLAB/Simulink and a passion for racing are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience with MATLAB/Simulink in control system development.
• Experience with simulation, testing, and calibration of control algorithms for powertrains.

Responsibilities

• Develop gasoline engine calibration and controls for professional and customer racing vehicles.
• Support engine mapping and hardware selection across multiple ECUs (Ford, Bosch, MoTeC, etc).
• Create HiL/SiL/DiL test environments and perform track testing as required.
• Modify production control strategies to meet vehicle attributes.
• Innovate new technologies within race sanctioning bodies.
• Support programs including LMDh, GT3, GT4, and Off-Road.
