Job summary

Tharp Consulting in the United States (OH region) is seeking a designer to develop innovative powersports styling concepts from sketching to digital visualization, supporting vehicle development and brand identity.

You will collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Product Planning to review cycles, resolve issues, and ensure feasible designs while researching market trends and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Transportation, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong sketching and visual communication skills.
• Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Alias, Blender, Rhino, or similar.
• Ability to translate ideas into compelling visual concepts.
• Knowledge of powersports products and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop original styling ideas through sketching, rendering, and digital tools, balancing aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Product Planning teams to support reviews, resolve issues, and ensure design feasibility.
• Conduct market and consumer research to identify trends and contribute insights for innovative, customer-focused designs.
• Assist in creating physical and digital models, supporting design presentations and reviews.
• Stay current on industry trends, tools, and market needs, contributing to continuous improvement processes.
