Job summary

LS Solutions is seeking a Product Testing Engineer (Strength) to execute development projects focused on strength and rigidity for ATV/SxS prototypes. The role involves designing layouts, conducting rigorous testing, and validating prototypes using data acquisition systems and strain gauges.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering degree and experience with data acquisition, testing environments, and vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience with data acquisition, vehicle maintenance, or riding Powersports is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of development cycles, FTA, FMEA, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate company vehicles and work physically in lab or test environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test component and system layouts, ensuring they meet concept, function, and manufacturing requirements.
• Utilize data acquisition systems, strain gauges, and physical testing to validate strength, rigidity, and durability of prototypes.
• Analyze and present data to inform loading scenarios and performance targets, conducting validations through simulations and testing.
• Design test fixtures, manage vehicle builds, and oversee post-test evaluations.
• Collaborate with teams, communicate project status, and support technological innovation and continuous improvement.
