Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Boiler Operator learning program.
• Powerplant Operator, Boiler Operator, or Stationary Engineer license as required by local regulations.
• 3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local plant operations and boiler operation codes.

Responsibilities

• Operates, controls, and safely shuts down primary and auxiliary power plant systems, including boilers, turbines, generators, chillers, and HVAC equipment.
• Monitors meters, gauges, and indicators to regulate power flow and diagnose issues.
• Performs troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility equipment.
• Records operational data, maintains logs, and manages emergency communications during outages.
• Supports leadership and training of colleagues and participates in projects.
