Job summary

Mako CPC LP dba Cascade Process Controls is seeking a Division Manager for its Powerline group to own the full P&L and drive safety, growth, and operational excellence. You will build crews and systems, manage bids and client relations, and integrate powerline work with Cascade’s broader service lines across multiple basins.

The role requires 10+ years in powerline construction with leadership experience, a Journeyman Lineman certification, and proven ability to deliver margin-focused results.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in powerline construction or utility line work, including 5+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Journeyman Lineman certification or equivalent documented field progression.
• Demonstrated P&L or job-cost ownership with accountability for margin performance.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1910.269, 1926 Subpart V, NESC, and NEC as applied to distribution construction.
• Proven ability to estimate distribution work and manage unit-price and T&M contracts.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL Class A preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and client site access requirements.
• Proficiency with job cost reporting, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Own revenue, gross margin, and EBITDA performance for the powerline division; deliver against annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Build and execute the division growth plan: target accounts, service territory expansion, and crew scaling.
• Price and approve estimates for unit-price, time-and-material, and lump-sum work; own bid strategy and margin discipline.
• Negotiate and manage MSAs, rate sheets, and change orders with utilities, cooperatives, and industrial customers.
• Plan and dispatch line crews across multiple concurrent jobs and basins; own scheduling, manpower loading, and crew-to-job fit.
• Direct overhead and underground distribution construction tasks and related activities.
• Oversee energized and de-energized work planning, switching coordination, and storm response.
• Own job costing discipline — daily production reporting, unit tracking, timesheet accuracy, and cost variance review.
• Drive billing velocity: field tickets, customer sign-off, and coordination with accounting to protect DSO.
• Manage fleet and equipment strategy for digger derricks, bucket trucks, and support vehicles — including maintenance and DOT compliance.
• Maintain DOT/FMCSA compliance and client safety prequalification standing (ISNetworld, Avetta, Veriforce) and EMR performance.
• Build a bench of foremen capable of running work with minimal daily oversight.
