Qualifications

• High school diploma; 1 year of high-voltage transmission/distribution preferred.
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license; ability to convert if out-of-state resident.
• Class A CDL with no restrictions or obtain within 1–2 years.
• OSHA 10 certificate or obtain within 6 months of employment.
• GRDA switchman certificate and clearance holder certification as required.
• Arc Flash training and other GRDA-required trainings.
• Crane Operator Certificate study; GRDA to furnish training.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair high-voltage transmission/distribution lines.
• Work safely in extreme weather; respond to outages and emergency calls.
• Secure equipment; obtain materials using project codes and work orders.
• Coordinate with other GRDA divisions and crews on projects.
• Follow GRDA, NESC, and IEEE guidelines for installations.
