Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions is hiring a Transmission Lineman A / Journeyman Lineman in Grand Prairie, TX. This role performs skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage transmission lines and related structures, ensuring safe field operations and adherence to project specs and standards.

You will mentor apprentices, support crew members, and collaborate with Foremen to maintain productivity and complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4–6+ years of experience in transmission line construction and maintenance preferred.
• Experience on high‑voltage systems (138kV–765kV) preferred.
• Ability to climb transmission structures and work at heights safely.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission line construction and maintenance on steel and wood structures.
• Install, sag, clip, and maintain conductors and transmission components.
• Operate rigging and hoisting equipment in support of transmission work.
• Work on energized or de-energized lines following safety regulations.
