Job summary

Grand River Dam Authority is seeking a Journeyman Technician Senior - Powerlines at the Transmission Headquarters near Pryor, OK. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage transmission and distribution systems for GRDA customers across NE Oklahoma.

The candidate must have a minimum of five years in HV transmission/distribution, hold a journeyman lineman credential, and possess the required licenses (Oklahoma DL, CDL A, OSHA 10).

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in high-voltage electric transmission and distribution.
• Completion of a 4-year course of study for journeyman lineman from a recognized trade, technical, vocational school, or other institute of higher learning.
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or able to convert within 90 days for an Oklahoma resident with out-of-state license.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL driver’s license with no restrictions.
• OSHA 10 certificate or obtain certificate as soon as possible after employment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair high-voltage transmission and distribution lines and related equipment.
• Follow NESC and IEEE guidelines for installation of poles and conductor.
• Coordinate with other GRDA divisions and departments on projects and logistics.
• Train Apprentice 1-4 level employees.
• Be on call for extended hours and emergency outages.
