Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repair of thermal processing equipment, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, and related systems. The role requires reading gauges, recording data, and safe operation of heavy equipment.

The position offers an hourly wage from 26.80 to 36.70 with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible movers. Education benefits are available for full and part-time team members.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing.
• Experience reading schematics and hydraulic drawings preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Operate boiler and ammonia refrigeration systems, air compressors, and wastewater treatment.
• Follow procedures to comply with regulations and company policies.
• Read and record data from gauges and computer systems; use Word/Excel and SAP.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic mechanical repairs on pumps, valves, and motors.
• Troubleshoot systems mechanically and electrically; use schematics for troubleshooting.
• Work in a 24/7 round-the-clock team environment.
