Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Minnesota Chief Class Engineer, Grade B or A, Boiler Operator’s License.
• Must work well with teams, goal oriented, and enjoy performing a job well done.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently, up to 150 pounds infrequently, with or without accommodations; may handle 650‑pound chemical barrels.

Responsibilities

• Operates, monitors and maintains steam boiler generators and related equipment.
• Operates natural gas and fuel oil combustion systems and controls.
• Maintains softwater systems and control equipment including plant water systems.
• Maintains hot water systems and compressed air systems.
• Monitors and maintains plant vacuum system and ammonia refrigeration system.
• Records utilities usage and maintains Powerhouse log book.
• Performs chemical tests on boiler feed water and makes adjustments to maintain parameters.
• Interfaces with plant and management on Powerhouse utilities.
• Supports Refrigeration Specialist and performs related repairs as needed.
• Maintains equipment via PMs, repair orders and lubrication.
