Job summary

Kraft Heinz Company in New Ulm, MN seeks a Refrigeration Specialist to operate, maintain and monitor ammonia refrigeration, sliced cheese chillers, Kathabars, HVAC and related systems. The role requires knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to perform complex adjustments within PSM guidelines.

You'll work on a rotating weekly schedule, with a focus on safe operation, preventive maintenance, and emergency readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Must be able to obtain MN 1st Class B License.
• Ability to lift 50 lb frequently and up to 150 lb infrequently.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains the ammonia refrigeration system, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, accumulators and control systems.
• Operates and maintains the sliced cheese refrigeration system, chill water systems and Kathabar systems.
• Monitors and maintains plant HVAC, compressed air, vacuum, steam, water and related systems.
• Supports emergency response and adheres to OSHA Process Safety Management requirements.
• Coordinates with maintenance staff and trains other mechanics and boiler engineers.
