HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting an Insurance Coverage & Complex Litigation Associate Attorney in Colorado to join a client partner’s litigation team. The role demands handling sophisticated insurance defense and coverage matters, with responsibility from evaluation through trial and appeal.

The candidate should have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school and Colorado bar admission, at least 3 years of litigation experience, and strong writing and advocacy skills to manage cases

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited law school required.
• Active Colorado law license required.
• Minimum three years of litigation experience in a law firm.
• Experience handling insurance-related litigation incl. coverage disputes, personal injury, premises liability, bad faith, first/third-party claims.
• Experience taking and defending depositions and drafting dispositive motions.
• Experience appearing in Colorado state and federal courts.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense litigation from pre-suit to trial and appeal.
• Represent carriers and self-insureds in complex first and third-party matters.
• Investigate liability, evaluate claims, and develop litigation strategies.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives.
• Draft dispositive motions, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Prepare detailed insurance coverage opinions and legal analyses.
• Appear in Colorado state and federal courts for hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials.
• Collaborate with clients on strategy, risk analysis, and settlements.
• Maintain strong legal writing, research, and documentation while managing multiple matters.
