Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking a Maintenance/Power Washing Technician to support the NJ garages with hands-on upkeep and customer service. This role blends maintenance tasks with safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate can read English, carry a valid driver’s license, and lead by example, ensuring daily reports and inventory are accurately tracked while following company SOPs.

Qualifications

• Must speak/read/write English and understand safety instructions.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Proactive, people person, willing to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and grooming standards.
• Note and report safety conditions related to equipment or place of employment.
• Analyze and resolve work problems; assist coworkers in solving issues.
• Process and carry out maintenance work order forms/requested.
• Report all completed/uncompleted work to Operations Manager daily.
• Assist with keeping an accurate inventory of supplies and equipment.

The Spirit of the Position:

The Maintenance/Power washing Technician will provide back-up and be responsible for supporting the maintenance team in various garages throughout New Jersey. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a combination of hands-on maintenance and customer service, while following maintenance and operational compliance.

Principal Job Description

• Follow the Company Standard Operating Procedures as well as policies regarding professionalism, uniforms, and grooming standards.
• Note and report any safety condition relating to equipment or place of employment.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, assist co-workers in solving work problems.
• Process and carry out maintenance work order forms/requested.
• Report all completed/uncompleted work performed to Operations Manager daily.
• Assist with keeping an accurate inventory of supplies and equipment’s.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
• Must be proactive with strong personal drive, people person and must be willing to lead by example.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and work orders.
• License Requirement: Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Experience/Skills

• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities and assignments.

Physical Demands

• Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
