Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Project Manager on our Engineering team to lead advisory, EP, and EPC projects across substations, transmission, renewables, and large industrial work. You will steward scope, schedule, budget, risk, and client relationships while coordinating engineers, designers and subcontractors.

Occasional travel is required, including overnights, and you will mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvements and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience managing or supporting utility, power delivery, electrical infrastructure, commercial, industrial, renewable energy, or related engineering projects.
• Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, schedules, resource planning, and contract deliverables.
• Knowledge of utility industry standards, regulations, and environmental/permitting requirements.
• Working knowledge of electrical power systems and utility project execution, including transmission, substation, generation, renewable energy, industrial facilities, or similar infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated understanding of project management principles, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder management.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex engineering projects across substation design, transmission, telecoms, renewables, and large load industrial facilities.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure schedules are met.
• Manage project scope, budgets, scheduling, and change control throughout the lifecycle.
• Support procurement and construction activities, including field and procurement teams.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external business partners.
• Support proposal development including scope, cost estimates, and vendor evaluations.
• Coordinate environmental permitting and land rights with clients and agencies.
• Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to project controls improvements.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules; communicate impacts to team and clients.
