Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Field Engineering Project Lead to command complex electrical utility projects, focusing on transmission, distribution equipment, and relay protection upgrades. You will guide day-to-day execution, manage client communications, and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and safety standards.

The role demands advanced technical knowledge in field operations, project leadership, and collaboration with field teams to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with ABET accreditation preferred.
• 5+ years in relay testing/commissioning in substations or protection & control design experience.
• EIT/PE preferred but not required.
• Ability to read One Line and wiring diagrams; strong technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical utility projects focusing on transmission and distribution upgrades.
• Serve as primary client interface from assessment to submittals and scope revisions.
• Review P&C drawings for issues and provide technical guidance on designs and testing.
• Coordinate material and crew logistics and support onsite.
