Job summary

Qualus is seeking an Associate Project Manager in its Project Management department. Under general direction, you will assist in managing a large portfolio of electric utility T&D projects to ensure they are completed on schedule, within scope, and on budget.

Responsibilities include overseeing project aspects, progress reporting, schedule and budget management, bid document development, procurement coordination, and ensuring proper documentation throughout all phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
• 2–5 years of electric utility construction or project management experience
• Knowledge of project management techniques and software
• Knowledge of design and construction of electric transmission/distribution/substations
• Effective written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulations, and laws
• Assist with department progress reporting, management of schedule, budget, outage coordination, contract administration
• Manage the development and evaluation process for bid documents related to engineering, design, and construction
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment for project execution
• Ensure thorough documentation and completion of all project phases
• Independently manage smaller projects, demonstrating proficiency in the full Engineer, Procure, Construct project lifecycle and project controls requirements
