Job summary

HD Hyundai Electric America Corporation is seeking a Field Service Supervisor focused on Power Transformers. You will lead onsite installation, commissioning, and technical support for large transformers (up to 850 MVA / 500 kV).

The role demands safety, quality, and strong customer-facing skills in dynamic field environments. You will supervise subcontractors, oversee testing and diagnostics, and deliver comprehensive field reports while traveling up to 80% domestically and internationally;

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in installation and commissioning of Power Transformers (MANDATORY).
• Willingness to travel up to 80% (domestic and international).
• Ability to supervise onsite subcontractors and ensure safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct onsite installation and commissioning of transformers up to 850 MVA / 500 kV.
• Oversee assembly of external components and peripherals to specs.
• Lead pre-commissioning activities and on-site electrical testing.
• Perform RCA investigations and deliver technical reports.
• Manage subcontractors to meet schedule and Hyundai quality standards.
• Serve as technical point of contact for customer engineers during testing.
