Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking an experienced relay testing technician to support utility-scale projects across the Midwest. You will test and commission protective relays and substation equipment on transmission and distribution systems, perform on-site start-ups, collect data and report findings to project leads.

This role requires 3–5+ years in the field, a bachelors degree in EE or related field (or equivalent), hands-on use of SEL and GE relay software, and willingness to travel daily to

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in utility or substation relay testing and commissioning.
• Bachelors degree in EE or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Test and commission protective relays, control schemes and substation equipment on transmission and distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot, run start-ups and collect test data on HV equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and DC elementaries.
• Work independently on site and report findings to customers and project leads.
