Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Project Manager to support the Electrical Power Services team in Columbus, OH. You will lead the planning, execution, and financial performance of electrical testing, commissioning, maintenance, engineering, and power systems projects, acting as the primary customer contact.

The role requires strong leadership, experience with customer-facing projects, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; equivalent experience may count.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical testing, commissioning, field service, or power systems.
• Experience managing customer-facing projects and technical field service operations.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems, testing services, and field operations.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
• Strong budgeting and financial oversight abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of electrical testing, commissioning, maintenance, and engineering projects.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, staffing, and resource requirements.
• Monitor budgets, labor utilization, schedules, and overall project performance.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget.
• Facilitate kickoff meetings and align objectives with stakeholders.
• Coordinate staffing and equipment with operations leadership and field teams.
• Review project reports and deliverables for quality and completeness.
• Manage customer relationships and serve as primary contact.
• Support billing, invoicing, and financial forecasting activities.
• Coordinate project closeout activities, documentation, and turnover.
• Promote OSHA/NFPA 70E safety compliance and quality standards.
