The role requires a bachelor’s in a technical field, 5+ years in a technical role with generators and grid systems, 1–3 years of leadership, and knowledge of NFPA 70E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE or related field required.
• 5+ years of work experience in a technical role with generators, switchgear, and grid support systems.
• 1–3 years of management or leadership experience.
• 1–3 years of client management and/or vendor relationship management experience.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and related standards.
• Power Analyst certification preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal direction and strong problem‑solving and project management skills.
• Willingness to adapt to changing environments and maintain professionalism with customers.
• Excellent knowledge of grid‑tie technology and systems.

Responsibilities

• Plans, manages, and coordinates all aspects of complex utility solutions within the Power Rent business.
• Manages and monitors the project’s time schedule to guarantee delivery and startup on schedule.
• Acts as the site supervisor and primary interface with the utility site leader and partners.
• Answers technical and application questions regarding Caterpillar power systems for engineers, contractors, sales staff, and service.
• Assists staff with troubleshooting and resolution of product issues.
• Prepares job safety plans and verifies adherence to safety protocols.
• Performs customer service duties to establish positive relationships with staff and customers.
• Ensures safe working conditions and safety of all involved in projects.
• Manages product improvements as they become available.
• Coordinates load‑in and load‑out operations and conducts Pre‑Flight walkthroughs.
• Builds and plans training for utility technicians.
