Job summary

MacAllister Machinery seeks an on-site technical leader to support power rent solutions for utility applications. You will coordinate field and shop activities, answer technical questions, and act as the project manager for load-in, scheduling, and equipment deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (EE) or equivalent years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, manages, and coordinates all aspects of complex utility solutions within the Power Rent business.
• Manages and monitors the project’s time schedule to guarantee delivery and startup on schedule.
• Acts as the site supervisor and primary interface with the utility site leader (customer) and/or other partners engaged in deploying utility support.
• Answers technical and application questions regarding Caterpillar power systems for engineers, contractors, sales, and service.
• Assists service staff and technicians with troubleshooting and resolution of product issues.
• Prepares job safety plans and verifies adherence to safety protocols.
• Performs customer service duties to establish positive working relationships.
• Ensures safe working conditions and cares for safety of all parties involved.
• Manages product improvements as they become available.
• Coordinates load-in and load-out operations.
• Conducts “Pre‑Flight” walkthroughs.
• Assists management with equipment purchases and lifespan determination; is an expert in utility equipment.
• Builds and plans training for utility technicians.
• Performs related duties as required.
