Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced technical leader to provide on-site support for power rent solutions in utility applications. The role manages complex projects, coordinates customers and vendors, and guides technicians from planning through startup.

You will act as the primary interface with customers and partners and lead site activities and training initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in generator systems and grid-related equipment, with 5+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a technical role with generator, switchgear, synchronization controls, or grid systems.
• 1–3 years of management or leadership experience.
• 1–3 years of client/vendor relationship management.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and energized/high-voltage systems.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and coordinate complex utility solutions within Power Rent.
• Ensure on-schedule delivery and startup; monitor timelines.
• Act as site supervisor and primary interface with customer and partners.
• Answer technical and application questions on Caterpillar power systems.
• Assist service staff with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Develop training for utility technicians from basics to mastery.
• Support equipment purchases and lifespan determinations.
• Lead load-in/load-out operations and Pre-Flight walkthroughs.
• Maintain safety plans and protocols.
• Collaborate with management to meet financial goals.
