Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a seasoned pre-sales engineer with a focus on FACTS and substation solutions. You will deliver technical demonstrations, design and coordinate tender responses, and work with customers and internal teams to ensure optimal, value-driven electrical solutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, 10+ years of experience, and authorization to work in the United States. Extensive PSSE/PSCAD/RTDS experience is essential, with up to 50% travel in NAM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience designing solutions during tenders or projects in FACTS or Substation Solutions.
• Authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Extensive experience with FACTS system design, analysis, simulations, and calculations.
• Hands-on knowledge of PSSE, PSCAD/EMTDC, RTDS and similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical expertise to support the sales organization.
• Contribute to tendering process and deliver optimized, customer-centric solutions.
• Lead technical demonstrations and articulate strong technical value propositions.
• Coordinate across teams and stakeholders to ensure successful technical solutions.
• Travel up to 40–50% across NAM to support customers and projects.
