Job summary
Hitachi Energy is seeking a pre-sales technical expert to support the sales organization for substation solutions such as STATCOM, E-STATCOM, BESS, and Synchronous Compensators. You will deliver customer-centric solutions through the sales and tendering process, drawing on deep product knowledge and cross-functional collaboration.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years’ experience in FACTS or substation design, US work authorization, and strong PSSE/PSCAD/RTDS
Qualifications
- Degree in electrical engineering with focus on power systems.
- 10+ years in tender or project design within FACTS or Substation Solutions.
- Authorization to work in the United States and hands-on tool experience.
Responsibilities
- Build long-term customer relationships and identify value-driven solutions.
- Provide technical pre-sales support, presentations, and product demos.
- Contribute to marketing activities with strong technical value propositions.
- Collaborate with customers, ISOs, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Act as technical coordinator for tenders and ensure solution integrity.
- Identify optimized technical solutions across Hitachi Energy's global FACTS network.
- Leverage experience from installed projects and innovation efforts.
- Support conferences, seminars, and market-facing events.
