You will collaborate with electrical engineers on power requirements, select mechanical equipment (switchgear, MCCs, enclosures), perform thermal analyses, and produce detailed 3D models using AutoCAD or SolidWorks. This role demands hands-on problem solving and independent project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years designing mechanical systems for power distribution.
• Familiarity with UL/CSA standards for low-voltage equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with electrical engineers to analyze power requirements and equipment loads.
• Design and select mechanical components for power distribution systems (switchgear, MCCs, enclosures).
• Perform thermal analysis and ensure proper cooling of electrical equipment.
• Develop and maintain detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
• Specify materials and finishes for enclosures and support structures.
• Liaise with vendors to select and procure mechanical components.
• Ensure adherence to mechanical codes and standards (UL1558, UL891, UL67, UL845, UL 508A).
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for projects.
• Collaborate with project team for seamless integration of power systems with automation projects.
