Job summary

RMS Energy Co, LLC is seeking Field Service Technicians to test, maintain, and commission electrical systems at client sites nationwide. You’ll work with relays, transformers, breakers, SCADA, and other equipment across diverse industrial settings, ensuring reliable energy solutions.

The role demands field testing and troubleshooting expertise, strong safety practices, and ability to read schematics. Travel up to 75% is required; a HS diploma and valid license are essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel up to 75% across the continental U.S.
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license
• Must pass background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Able to work outdoors in all weather, at heights, in confined spaces, around high‑voltage equipment

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain, and collect data on low to high voltage systems (480V–600kV).
• Run standard field tests (TTR, insulation resistance, Power Factor, Tan Delta, VLF, DC Hi‑Pot).
• Test relays (electromechanical and solid‑state) with supervision.
• Troubleshoot control circuits, relay logic, and protection schemes.
• Read and interpret schematics and one‑line diagrams.
• Support commissioning activities and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Keep reports, logs, and calibration records up to date.
