Job summary

RMS Energy Co, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician III to test, maintain, and commission low to high‑voltage systems at power plants and industrial sites. You will run standard field tests, troubleshoot relays and protection schemes, and communicate with customers on-site in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of field experience, NFPA 70E/OSHA knowledge, and willingness to travel up to 75% across the continental U.S. A NETA Level II certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• HV field experience and safe working practices.
• Familiar with megohmmeters, TTRs, insulation testers.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA 1910.269.
• Able to read schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Willingness to travel up to 75% across the continental U.S.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain, and commission HV/MV systems up to 500kV.
• Run standard field tests (TTR, insulation resistance, PF, Tan Delta).
• Troubleshoot control circuits and protection schemes.
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and diagrams.
• Communicate with customers on-site and provide updates.
• Mentor Tech I team members and support commissioning activities.
