Job summary

Western States seeks a field service technician to perform routine maintenance on generator packages, industrial engines, and related power system components. You will assist senior technicians, conduct load bank testing, and document service activities on customer sites.

The role requires travel, overtime as needed, and a professional on-site appearance with strong safety awareness and customer service orientation.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime with short notice.
• Frequent travel with potential overnight stays.
• Proficient with Microsoft suite and basic computer use.
• Able to establish effective working relationships with customers and team members.
• Knowledgeable in electric power generation systems.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, performs routine maintenance on generator and power system components for customers.
• Assists senior technicians with load bank testing and cabling tasks.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and repairs on equipment.
• Maintains accurate service reports, work orders and time cards.
• Ensures safety policies are followed on site and communicates professionally with customers.
