Wagner Equipment Co. is seeking a Field Service Technician for Power Systems in Aurora, CO to diagnose, repair, and service Caterpillar power generation equipment at customer locations. You’ll perform startups, load-bank tests, and preventative maintenance while delivering exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years with CAT gensets, diesel engines, or generator controls and a HS diploma or GED. Technical schooling or an associate degree is preferred; travel is 75–100%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years servicing CAT generators or power generation equipment.
• 3+ years troubleshooting diesel engines, electrical systems, or generator controls.
• 3+ years of customer service experience.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair Caterpillar diesel and natural gas generator sets.
• Troubleshoot alternators, voltage regulators, circuit breakers, batteries, and control systems.
• Diagnose EMCP and GCCP control panels, communications, and interface signals.
• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot transfer switches, switchgear, and paralleling systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and scheduled service activities.
• Complete startups, commissioning checks, load-bank tests, and transfer tests.
