Job summary

Wagner Equipment Co. in Aurora, CO is seeking an Oil and Gas Field Service Technician - Power Systems. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain Caterpillar diesel and natural gas engines, engines systems, and power generation equipment at customer sites.

The role requires 3+ years of diesel engine experience, basic electrical troubleshooting, and strong teamwork. Travel is 75-100%. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years experience servicing diesel engines and engine systems.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic knowledge.
• Ability to work effectively in a team while staying individually accountable.
• 3+ years troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Completes CAT service reports daily that are legible and accurate.
• Transmits photos, timecards, service reports and documentation electronically.
• Maintains accurate customer records and communicates equipment status and recommendations.
• Supports customer needs with Service, Product Support and Sales teams.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs CAT natural gas and diesel engines, generators, and power systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections on power generation and oilfield equipment.
• Reads and applies electrical schematics and service literature to repair work.
• Uses CAT diagnostic software to identify and resolve issues.
• Ensures safe operation and testing of repaired equipment.
