Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking power systems engineering interns for the US Utilities – T&D Standards & Innovation team in Indianapolis, IN. You will help support DOE-funded projects on grid protection, control, planning models, and DER/EV analytics while aligning with AES engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required.
• Strong academic record with attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development of protection and control technologies for future grids.
• Develop hardware-in-the-loop testing plans for relays and controllers.
• Analyze power systems using PSSE/PSCAD/CYME/DSA Tools.
• Prepare technical papers and present findings to stakeholders.
