Experience in planning, designing, fabricating, and testing advanced electric power inverters and power systems.
Strong understanding of engineering concepts, codes, and theory; broad application of these concepts.
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and organize work to meet timelines.
Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills; able to work independently or in a team.
Willingness to work extended hours and travel; DoD clearance eligibility is required.
EIT certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and resolve complex engineering problems to meet design requirements.
Design electric energy storage and power conditioning systems for MW-scale machinery.
Develop practical, innovative solutions for EMALS and AAG systems.
Address manufacturing issues during integration and testing.
Create, redraw, and update drawings using engineering change processes.
Participate in design reviews and prepare inputs for electrical design requirements.
Identify obsolescence and support continuous operation of EMALS and AAG systems.
Prepare plans and procedures for system qualification and factory tests.
Present technical results and advise on project progress.
