Job summary

ERCOT seeks a Grid Analysis engineer in Taylor, TX to perform steady-state power-flow analyses using PSSE/VSAT/PowerWorld and to support reliability studies for the Texas grid. You will develop tools, mentor teammates, and coordinate with stakeholders while on-site with flexible scheduling.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s in electrical engineering (grad degree preferred) and experience in power-system engineering, with 2+ years in the field and knowledge of electric utility operations.

Qualifications

• Power-flow simulation experience.
• Programming or scripting experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform steady-state analyses using power flow models.
• Support market/protocol design discussions from operations perspective.
• Lead studies to determine need for CMPs and regional interfaces.
• Provide expert guidance on improving reliability of the electric grid.
