You will perform calculations, prepare diagrams and specs, develop scopes of work, and coordinate with clients and vendors; travel up to 30% as needed. Required: BS in Electrical Engineering, 1+ year in power design, NEC/IEEE knowledge, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 1+ year of progressive experience in electrical distribution design, power system studies, or related area.
• Experience applying electrical engineering principles to power-system design, analysis, or evaluation.
• Knowledge of NEC, NETA, IEEE, NFPA 70E requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical criteria and prepare diagrams, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project engineer for design, study, and review assignments under a Lead Engineer.
• Prepare designs and equipment specifications for 480 V–34.5 kV distribution projects.
• Perform short-circuit, grounding, and protection calculations.
• Conduct power system studies (load-flow, arc-flash, harmonic analysis).
• Create one-line diagrams, grounding plans, and control schematics.
• Support substation design, protection, and commissioning activities.
