Job summary

The Lead Engineer will guide a team of engineers and technicians, develop plans and specifications, and deliver analyses and reports for design, construction, and maintenance of facilities. Responsibilities include stakeholder meetings, coordination with departments, and scheduling across multiple projects, using solid engineering judgment and communication skills to

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required in power/high voltage.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering and 5+ years related engineering experience with IOU or electric cooperative.
• Possess extensive knowledge of equipment, materials, systems, and business processes.
• Possess strong computer literacy skills.
• Valid Driver's License and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of engineers and engineering technicians.
• Develop plans and specifications, perform analyses, and prepare reports.
• Oversee design, construction, maintenance, and project management for facilities.
• Meet with stakeholders including customers, developers, and property owners.
• Coordinate with other departments and determine design changes with engineering staff.
• Manage schedules for projects of varying size and complexity.
• Prepare and interpret schematics, drawings, layouts and visual aids.
• Solve problems with original, research-based solutions.
