Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Power Systems Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Power Delivery team in Frisco, Texas. This in-office role focuses on analyzing power systems transient and steady-state conditions for diverse projects in the energy sector.

You will build models, perform Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Arc Flash studies using ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD, and CAD tools, and collaborate with the electrical team to support design and reporting efforts.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer focused on power studies.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• ETAP experience required; familiarity with power system studies and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze power systems, build software models, and generate reports for various projects in power delivery.
• Perform studies such as Load Flow, Reactive Power, Short Circuit, Arc Flash, and Coordination analyses.
• Assist with project design, specifications, and plans; ensure work meets Kimley-Horn quality standards.
