Job summary

M2X Energy Inc seeks a Power Systems Engineer to own electrical power end-to-end at project sites and modular gas-to-methanol plants. You will bridge utility-facing infrastructure and onboard power electronics, from concept through commissioning.

You will work on-site in Brevard County, Florida, coordinating with utilities, EPCs, and controls teams to ensure reliable, safe power for operations and plant generation. Expect travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power systems engineering, power electronics, or utility interconnection.
• Experience with utility interconnection processes and distribution design.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and IEEE 1547 interconnection requirements.
• Proficiency with design tools such as SKM, ETAP or AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical power infrastructure for project sites from assessment through commissioning.
• Lead utility engagements for grid interconnections, load studies, and interconnection agreements.
• Design site electrical infrastructure: switchgear, transformers, distribution panels, relays, metering.
• Plan behind-the-meter generation alongside grid service to support operations.
• Develop single-line diagrams, load lists, short-circuit studies, and EPC scope packages.
• Manage interconnection studies, permitting, and utility coordination across sites.
• Serve as primary contact with utilities, EPCs, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Support commissioning and startup of site electrical systems and tests.
