Job summary

M2X Energy seeks a Power Systems Engineer to own electrical power end-to-end at project sites and onboard modular gas-to-methanol plants. You will lead utility interconnections, design site infrastructure, and develop the plant's power conversion system, balancing grid, gensets, and onboard generation.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with power electronics, and collaboration across utilities, EPCs, and cross-functional teams. Travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in power systems engineering and power electronics.
• Experience with utility interconnection processes and equipment lead responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical power infrastructure at project sites from assessment to commissioning.
• Lead utility interconnections including load studies and interconnection filings.
• Design and specify site electrical infrastructure: switchgear, transformers, panels, relaying, metering.
• Develop onboard power conversion system and plant power electronics architecture.
• Collaborate with controls/automation to integrate power system monitoring with SCADA/PLC.
• Perform power quality and load-flow analyses for varying conditions.
