Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to bridge customer requirements with connector/cable interconnect design. You will translate system-level power architectures into producible interconnect solutions and present options to customer engineering teams.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product engineering and manufacturing, with travel to customer sites as needed and a focus on power delivery technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in power connector or systems engineering.
• Master’s degree with 1+ years in power connector or related discipline acceptable.
• Ability to read and interpret system-level requirements and specifications.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication for customer-facing meetings.

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements to develop power interconnect solutions.
• Translate system-level power architecture into connector and cable specs.
• Present technical options and roadmap alignment to customer engineering teams.
• Partner with product engineering and manufacturing sites to deliver solutions.
• Develop technical requirement documents and specification inputs for design-in activities.
• Support qualification, validation, and design-in activities at customer sites.
• Track industry standards shaping power delivery roadmaps.
• Deliver voice of the customer to internal roadmap and development.
• Assist senior team members in customer engagements.
• Build knowledge of the connector and cable portfolio for power delivery use cases.
