Job summary

Delmarva Power & Light Co. is seeking a skilled Engineer to support design, analysis, and maintenance of electric generation and transmission projects.

You will work under experienced engineers to develop studies, plans, specifications, and cost estimates, helping ensure safe, reliable delivery of energy. Responsibilities include contributing to large and small projects, performing complex analyses of power flows, and collaborating with teams to meet engineering standards while supporting storm

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 2 - 4 years of professional engineering experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• General knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform assignments for a specific discipline, various installations, or services

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments under guidance of an experienced engineer and presents recommendations.
• Tackles large projects or multiple smaller projects, analyzes power flows and conducts tests.
• Directs engineering tasks on large projects and verifies designs against standards.
• Participates in and may lead teams.
