Job summary

Delmarva Power & Light Co. is seeking a General Engineer - Substation Engineering who will oversee engineering efforts across utility infrastructure including electric and gas distribution. This role requires a broad understanding of operations and enhancing safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of professional engineering experience.
• Graduate degree or Graduate level work in Engineering preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification and/or Professional Engineer license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead small engineering projects coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical support to design, installation, and maintenance.
• Participate in evaluation and improvement of technical systems.

Skills

Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems

Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices

Problem solving approaches and engineering theory

Knowledge of complex field test equipment

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
