Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to deliver design, analysis and studies for diverse projects. You will perform short-circuit, arc-flash and protective device coordination analyses and interact with customers to review plans.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience and proficiency in power system modeling tools. Travel to domestic and international sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years relevant experience; focus in Power Systems studies preferred.
• Experience in short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash and power quality studies preferred.
• Proficient with power system modeling software (SKM/ETAP/E Aspen/ EZPower or equivalent).
• Knowledge of low, medium and high voltage up to 500 kV.
• Clear English communication, both written and verbal, with customers and co-workers.
• Field experience with substations/switchgear is desirable; travel available.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, analysis and studies for domestic or international projects.
• Conduct short-circuit, protective device coordination and arc-flash studies.
• Perform power factor analysis, harmonic modeling and grounding analysis.
• Interacts with customers to gather information and review plans.
• Occasionally work in the field with Field Services on shutdowns and maintenance.
