Job summary

Aspen Technology is seeking a role within Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) to design, configure, troubleshoot, and test deployment of our grid optimization solutions for electric utilities.

You will collaborate across functional teams to implement advanced applications such as Distribution Power Flow, FLISR, and Volt/VAR Control, while supporting customers through testing and commissioning. 25% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical-Computer Science or Computer Science.
• Willingness to travel ~25% on average.
• Programming and scripting experience (C, Python).
• Database and data-structure knowledge (SQL, XML, Mongo, GIS).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement control systems at electric utilities to improve efficiency and meet contract requirements.
• Participate in design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects.
• Support testing events with customers.
• Install and configure advanced distribution management applications such as DPF, FLISR, and VVC/VVO.
• Coordinate with OSI development teams to troubleshoot and test product changes.
• Interface with GIS teams to load the electrical network model into the Distribution Management System.
• Configure and integrate software components to meet contract requirements and test with customers.
• Train customers on operating the delivered systems.
• Provide technical support to resolve live-system issues.
