Job summary

AspenTech is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join the team delivering Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) for electric utilities worldwide. You’ll design, build, configure, test and deliver OMS solutions while collaborating closely with customers.

Based in Kentucky, you’ll work in a hybrid setup (4/1) from the Medina office, travel up to 20%, and contribute to system training, configuration and data-driven optimization of grid operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applications engineering, software engineering, or computer engineering.
• Minimum 4+ years of application engineering work experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Hybrid work from Medina office (4/1) schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute system build plans accounting for software architecture, information security, and hardware deployment.
• Work closely with customers to understand their operational needs, provide system training and configuration to meet their needs.
• Perform system and acceptance testing with customers.
• Develop scripts and other middleware solutions to integrate into third‑party systems.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and collaborate with technical experts in various domains.
• Lead workshops with customers.
• Travel to customer sites and work directly with customers to successfully deliver, test, and integrate systems.
